    Family of Woodstock – Ways to Volunteer
    Volunteer training program for work on 24 Hour Hotline. 3-hour shifts. Days, eves, weekends. Also Food Closet, Holiday programs, long-term commitment answering phones, help with physical plant, running groups, fundraising & event planning – 331-7080. More info.

    Volunteers needed to help organize, advertise and pull off our 40th Anniversary Fundraiser Celebration at BSP on August 14th. More info.

    Family of New Paltz is in need of a volunteer to pick up recyclables once, every other week and assist with building maintenance. The building that houses Family of New Paltz is on the Historical Registry, so you can imagine the many issues we have with an aging house. The once beautiful wood floors are very much worn and need to be scraped and refinished. I’m hoping there is a volunteer who can work miracles! If you can help please call Kathy at 255-7957.     Family of Ellenville
    is looking for a gardener to spearhead the community garden. The volunteer must be able to donate time weekly to coordinate and oversee this project. The site has been worked for several years now. Local children and adults are drawn to the garden and stop by to work, admire and partake. Volunteers can contact us at 647-2443. More info.

    Family House Adolescent Shelter needs volunteers to assist in creating a new garden: clearing overgrowth on a slope that leads to a flat clearing; the clearing effort needs more equipment and brawn, and the gardening area needs prepping and fencing. The effort would also benefit from a volunteer or two committing a couple of hours once a week to help keep the garden up. This time would be done with the clients as a Recreation group.     Family Domestic Violence Services, Kingston, is loking for the following donations: Children’s spring/summer clothes boys & girls sizes newborn to size 12…We also need a small microwave , pots & pans, Small Kitchen Table, and dressers , small bookcase. All stuff must be in excellent condition…. Volunteers also needed with computer, data entry skills, and general office skills to assist with office functions.     We could also us a carpenter to provide the wood & build us sturdy shelves in our attic….
    Volunteers for assistance with donations, yard work, cleaning, painting and upkeep of the building and assisting staff with childcare – also some general office work, typing, filing and copying.     Bilingual Volunteers Needed at FAMILY’s ACMS
    Salvador Altamirano-Segura, program director of Family’s Adult Case Management Services (ACMS), has recently asked for volunteers to help enroll Spanish speaking clients in the Food Stamps Program. As a community based organization, we are able to submit client applications electronically from our sites. He is looking for volunteers to help with his Spanish speaking clients.     The FOW Web Team is looking for individuals who are practiced at optimizing photos for the web. Our wonderful photographer would provide photographs that need optimization to be added to the website. If you can help please contact Barbara at 331-7080 x 151 bsalzman@fowinc.org.
