Berkshire Homeward Bound
Berkshire Homeward Bound seeks male mentors to assist teenage males residing at Berkshire Farm’s Residential Treatment Center with the transition back to their homes in Ulster County. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ulster County

Volunteers are needed to provide a powerful voice in a child’s life. If you are over 21 years of age, have a strong commitment to children, great communication skills, your own transportation, can pass a background check, and are available during the business day for 10-12 hours per month over the course of the next year, please contact CASA of Ulster County at info@casaulster.org or 845-339-7543. Case managers work with families in trouble, with young people in the county jail, and with teens in foster care. Family has both residential and nonresidential programs. Become a Hotline Volunteer, offer internships to the young people whom Family serves, or invite a young person into your organization for a day. Learn more about volunteering with Family.

Provides emergency shelter for up to 14 runaway and homeless youth, ages 12-18, for up to 60 days. Volunteers needed to help with community garden, art and building projects. Call 338-5953 for more information.

New Paltz Youth Program
Volunteering is not only a fulfilling way to spend your spare time, but it can also help build a resume or fufill community service hours for school or court. The NPYP participates in most town events including the Taste of New Paltz, Unity In Diversity Festival, 4th of July Fireworks, Clean Sweep, Beltane Festival, Regatta, and many more. Volunteers are also needed for tutoring, assisting in NPYP programs and NPYP events such as the Easter Egg Hunt and Haunted House. More info.

Volunteers Needed To Help High School Students Develop Interviewing Skills.
Ulster County Transition Coordinating Council is seeking volunteers from the business community to go into local high schools to role play job interview sessions. With just an hour or two of your time, you could provide a valuable experience to young people in our community by conducting mock interviews.
