What It Is: Bringing Agencies Together is a grassroots Forum that meets six times a year developing cooperation among Not-for Profits:
Education
Environment
Health
Human Services
Library Services, and others in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
It is a friendly, cooperative atmosphere with an exchange of great deal of information about our complex not-for-profit world.
Meetings include an informal potluck brunch. Participants bring fruit/juice/seltzer other potables, baked goods/cheeses/fruit etc. to share. You are fully invited to come with or without an offering.
We often participate in collecting items for food pantries, Donations of Dignity, ie, non-food items such as person care products, cleaning supplies, diapers etc. Again, you are fully invited to come with or without an offering.
Participant Lists of our June and August 2013 meetings are below.
At our August meeting we celebrated a lot of people doing good and important work. A huge amount of information was exchanged, and services for clients/patrons/patients were requested, and needs filled.
We have been collecting Donation of Dignity, ie non-food item, such as person care products: toothpaste/deodorant/shampoo, or cleaning supplies, or something non-perishable for a community pantry. Contribute if it works– there are a lot of requests for help, and if you are feeling tapped out, it is understandable.
