![Thank you again to everyone who participated in the 2015 MLK Day Celebration of Service at Marbletown Multi-Arts: the amazing musicians - Women of the World, Hickory Smoked, Blind Mice, and the New Progressive Baptist Church Choir and Dancers; sound engineer Jason Sarubbi; speakers Barbara Kortrey, Michael Raphael, Congressman Chris Gibson, Deborah Meyer DeWan, John Wackman and G. Modele Clarke; Ev Mann for donating the beautiful space; the awesome team of volunteers from Community Health Corps who pitched in all afternoon so we could have the afternoon off; Susan E. Richmann for coordinating volunteers; Sam Magarelli for MCing; our awesome UlsterCorps Board for putting the event together and reaching out to the generous restaurants and businesses who contributed food and raffle prizes. The day will celebrate the broad circle of kindness and generosity that knits us together as a community and demonstrates the value of the volunteer spirit across all generations. The event is free and features live music, refreshments and raffles for the volunteers. Performing at the event will be Women of the World, Hickory Smoked, Blind Mice, and New Progressive Baptist Church Choir. Raffle drawings at 2pm, 3pm and 4pm – get there early & stay late for your best chance to win – every volunteer gets a free raffle ticket, but you must be there to win.
