Family of New Paltz is in need of a volunteer to pick up recyclables once, every other week and assist with building maintenance. The building that houses Family of New Paltz is on the Historical Registry, so you can imagine the many issues we have with an aging house. The once beautiful wood floors are very much worn and need to be scraped and refinished. I’m hoping there is a volunteer who can work miracles! If you can help please call Kathy at 255-7957. More info.
Family of Ellenville
Family House Adolescent Shelter needs volunteers to assist in creating a new garden: clearing overgrowth on a slope that leads to a flat clearing; the clearing effort needs more equipment and brawn, and the gardening area needs prepping and fencing. The effort would also benefit from a volunteer or two committing a couple of hours once a week to help keep the garden up. This time would be done with the clients as a Recreation group. Contact Cynthia at 338-5953. More info.
